Upside Potential

A Necessary skill for a developing man is believing in upside potential.  This should be an overarching theme in every project that someone partakes in.  Learning a new skill set is a risk.  Lets say someone spends three years learning how to bake, and in 3 years baking has become obsolete.  Three years have been wasted.  This happens all the time.  Students go to college for an education  that doesn’t pay them anything.  They don’t focus on building skills they enjoy, and are useful.  I used to think in terms of building the skills that would pay the most money,  this is not the way to choose your skill sets.  Skills should be based on the upside potential they bring, and overall enjoyment they bring your life.  When you develop a skill enough, it will pay dividends.  I feel the most satisfied, when helping someone with my specific skill sets.  When I am able to bring value into someone’s life with something I enjoy.  Spend your time building up the skills you truly love, and that challenge you.
